CATTU Convention at Bamenda
The GNWR to Cameroon Teacher’s Trade Union (CATTU) to vote in all fairness and without pressure.

The Governor made the statement during the 1st Extra Ordinary Convention of CATTU which was held under the theme; Meaningful Education for Emergence. He added that the elections should be a reflection of what the union represents. He paid homage to Simon NKWENTI and assured the wife and family of the state's support.

During the ceremony the Interim National Executive Secretary of CATTU, ATANGA BUNAI Christopher recalled that CATTU has cried out in favour of technical and professional education, has condemned examination fraud and has worked towards improving the living and working condition of teachers.

He recounted CATTU's goals which include; putting in place a functional National Bureau, pursuing advocacy of living and working conditions of teachers and well being of school system, strengthening partnership with stake holders and rekindling the fire of teachers.
The Regional Delegate of Secondary Education on his part regarded the convention as a solidifying ground between CATTU and the Ministries of Basic and Secondary Education.

He enjoined them to solve all problems by dialogue bearing in mind that the focus is on the education of children.
