The Governor made the statement during the Regional Administrative Coordination meeting which took place at the Ayaba Conference Hall and brought together all Senior Divisional Officers as well as Regional Delegates in the region.

During the meeting which lasted several hours, the Governor of the North West Region acknowledged the accomplishment of some projects such as the successful organisation of the municipal and parliamentary elections, the improvement of green space by the Regional Delegations of Forestry and Wildlife and Environment and Protection of Nature, the victory of Yong Sports Academy spearheaded by officials and sports actors and the follow up of the execution of some major projects like the on going tarring of the Ndop-Kumbo stretch of the ring road.

The meeting was a forum for the problems encountered in the execution of the 2013 Public Investment Budget to be presented. Some of the problems included; late launch of the invitation to tender caused by the late arrival of the journal and log books, lack of expertise to prepare tender files, petitions from contractors which slowed down the award of projects, lack of collaboration between stakeholders amongst others.

The Regional Delegates each took turns to present their priority action plan for 2014 which would be followed up and evaluated for proper execution. They were equally instructed to include the fight against corruption and indiscipline in their action plans.
