Reunification celebration in Bamenda

The 50th anniversary of the reunification was celebrated in pomp and pageantry in the North West Region. The ceremony was attended by some Fons, North West elites, administrative and judicial authorities as well as Mrs. FONCHA, wife one of the forefront actors of the Reunification, Late John NGU FONCHA.

The event began at 10:00am prompt with the arrival of the Governor of the North West Region which was followed by a relay of the Head of State’s address, live from Buea.
The March past which ensued began with the military followed by the civilians. The civilian march past began with the special group of men and women born in 1961 as well as the beauty queens born in the 60s. Primary and secondary and vocational institutions, higher institutions of learning as well as youth groups massively took part in the march past chanting patriotic songs of reunification.
A common meal was later shared at the Ayaba Hotel.

The celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the Cameroon's reunification in the North West Region was a huge success.
