Renovation works of the Bamenda Municipal Stadium
The Governor has urged contractors to respect the time frame of the six months given to them in realizing the Synthetic turf Stadium.

The two hours event that gathered political, religious, traditional and sport authorities of the municipality was a scenery for the description of the construction project.
Present at the occasion, the National President of FECAFOOT, TOMBI a ROKO SIDIKI explained that it will be a unique futuristic architecture of 68 meters wide and 105 meters long, with capacity to take 2500 covered seats and other maintenance equipment for a budget that is estimated to 780 million FCFA.  He recalls that the scheme is part of the Cameroon's program to construct five stadiums with synthetic turf before 2019.

With works beginning tomorrow 21st May, the Project Contractor, Mr MUDO BEN from Prime Potomac Company, promised to build a befitting stadium of international olympic standard as required by FECAFOOT. The rehabilitation project will start from demolishing of the field to the installation of water and energy systems, building of spectator stand and local rooms like the change room and a restaurant. Then finalization with the synthetic turf.

Laying of the foundation stone by Governor LELE LAFRIQUE

Hoping that the Stadium will increase the revenue of the Bamenda City Council and its inhabitants, Governor LELE LAFRIQUE adds that he believes the project will propel a great chain of positive developments like improving the level of football for both the Region's first and second professional league teams and equally ensure that spectators are more comfortable.
