The wounded staff of Forces of Law and Order received this Friday 14th of April a comfort visit of General Nka Valere.

The Commander of the 5th military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the Gendarnerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside the Regional Delegate of National Security for the North-West Region, Superintendent of Police Gousmo Emile, on friday April 17, 2020 jointly carried the message of the Minister Delegate in charge of Defense to soldiers wounded in field while defending the Country.

Their stop was at military hospital at Up Station Bamenda, where the Generals comforted 13 soldiers wounded in the battle  against separatists fighters.

Each of the wounded soldiers  narrated the situations in which they were injured, after listening to them General Nka Valere encouraged and handed over to them a sum of 50,000frs each being a symbolic support to the wounded soldiers from Minister Delegate in charge of Defense, Mr Joseph Beti Assomo.

In appreciation, one of the soldiers thanked the Minister for thinking about them and promised that they will be back on the battle immediately after they recovered.

The General, while addressing the medical staff, advised them to respect the measures put in place by the Government so as to prevent the spread of the corona virus and handed over to them another symbolic amount of 500,000frs CFA.

From the military hospital at up station Bamenda, the  General's convoy moved to the Police Medical Centre at GMI. Here, both Generals and the Regional Delegate of National Security for the North-West Region were presented to 5 victims wounded by the separatists fighters. Amongst the victims, was a civilian woman shot on both legs during an attack on December 31,2019. After listening to their respective stories, General Nka valere handed again a symbolic envelope of 50 000frs CFA to each of them.

At the end of the visit, the officials visited the new building that will host the Police Medical Centre. In order to encourage staff the General, before taking off, handed over a sum of 200.000frs CFA.
