Fire disaster in Bamenda
A wild fire consumed a )$ storey building opposite TOTAL Nkwen in Bamenda

A wild fire broke out on this afternoon at around 3:30pm, consuming a four storey building opposite the total petrol station Nkwen in Bamenda.

The edifice also known as Top Star, houses a Bakery, Snack bar and a Hotel. No lives were lost nor persons injured but damages caused by the inferno have been estimated at some hundreds of million FCFA.

The ravaging flames were completely put off after some 60 minutes by the joint force of the Fire brigade, police and gendarmerie.
Investigations have been opened to determine the cause of the fire which is not yet known.
